April 2024 Attorney Spotlight: Brittany Jones

This month we’re proud to spotlight MBAWNY member Brittany Jones, the Principal Law Clerk to the Hon. E. Jeannette Ogden. Jones is also Secretary and State Delegate of the Western New York Chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York. Prior to her current position, Jones was a litigator at Mental Hygiene Legal Service. She also previously served as an associate attorney at the law firm Webster Szanyi LLP and as an appellate court attorney for the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Department.

Jones is a former treasurer of the Rochester Black Bar Association. She has volunteered in the Just Cause (formally known as Volunteer Legal Services Project) family law clinic and landlord-tenant program where she represented clients in and around the Rochester area. She also is a past president of the Minority Bar Association of Western New York.

Jones holds a bachelor’s degree from Emerson College, a master’s degree in telecommunications and network management from the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University, and a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law.
