Deonna Jones, President
President Jones currently serves as assistant legal counsel for Buffalo City School District. She formerly served as an assistant Erie County district attorney.

Samuel Borbor-Sawyer, Vice President
Borbor-Sawyer was born in London, raised in Sierra Leone, and proud to call Buffalo home since 2014, Samuel Borbor-Sawyer brings a global perspective to his legal practice and community engagement. As a Senior Litigation Associate at Phillips Lytle LLP, Samuel represents clients in complex commercial and labor and employment matters and has served as pro bono counsel in civil rights matters. His work spans sectors such as energy, healthcare, finance, education, insurance, and telecommunications.

Kevin Southern, Treasurer
Southern has served as Assistant District Attorney for Erie County since 2022. Prior to his current role, he was EEO Investigator for Erie County. Southern brings to his role as MBAWNY treasurer a wealth of experience in the banking industry.

Arrianna Hart, Deputy Treasurer
Hart is an associate in the insurance defense and business litigation practice groups of Rupp Pfalzgraf. Previously, Goldberg Segalla added Hart to the firm’s commercial litigation and arbitration group.

Nicholas Ramirez, Recording Secretary
Ramirez is a staff attorney at the Western New York Law Center where he works defending consumer debt cases with their CLARO (Civil Legal Advice Resource Office) unit. He graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2022 and was sworn in to the NYS BAR in January of 2023. Prior to the Western New York Law Center he worked at Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo as a public defender, and as a civil rights reentry attorney.

Paulette Campbell, Corresponding Secretary
Campbell is an Assistant Attorney General with the New York State Attorney General’s Buffalo Regional Office. Paulette joined the NY AG’s office in February of 2025 and focuses her practice on the litigation of affirmative proceedings in consumer protection cases. Prior to joining the Office of the Attorney General, Ms. Campbell worked for over 10 years at the Western New York Law Center, a civil legal service agency, where she represented homeowners and tenants in actions to prevent the loss of their homes and consumers in bankruptcy proceedings and consumer debt litigation.

Allana Benton, Director
Benton is associate counsel for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA). Prior to her current role, she was a FOIL coordinator and law clerk for NFTA.

Priscilla Bonsu, Director
Bonsu is a corporate attorney at Lippes Mathias LLP whose practice spans a wide range of domestic and cross-border business transactions and legal disciplines. Her areas of focus include general corporate law, corporate governance and compliance, private equity, venture capital, startups, public companies, independent sponsor transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. She also has deep experience in securities law, advising both U.S. public companies and foreign private issuers on SEC compliance, disclosures, and complex transactions such as SPAC and de-SPAC deals.

Yomaris Sanchez-Orona, Director
Sanchez-Orona is an associate with Ogletree Deakins. She is an alumna of the University at Buffalo School of Law and Roberts Wesleyan College.

Linwood Roberts, Interm Parliamentarian
Roberts is a dedicated attorney whose practice in criminal law, real estate, corporations, and trusts and estates is built on a foundational commitment to serving the Western New York Community. His unique path to the law is defined by multiple forms of service, the discipline of a U.S. Marine Corps Corporal, and a deep institutional knowledge of the region forged during 13 years in the Office of Community Relations at the University at Buffalo.
