Yomaris Sanchez-Orona, Director

Yomaris Sanchez-Orona is an associate with Ogletree Deakins. Sanchez-Orona defends employers in federal and state courts against a wide range of single-plaintiff or class action lawsuits including matters involving discrimination, harassment, or retaliation; employee policies or procedures; and employment contracts or wage-and-hour disputes. Sanchez-Orona also represents and defends employer interests before various administrative agencies. 

Sanchez-Orona also counsels businesses of all sizes regarding compliance with federal, state, or local laws, including discrimination and harassment claims; complex wage and hour issues; protected leave and accommodations; discipline and termination decisions; background checks; workplace safety; and cybersecurity. 

Sanchez-Orona earned her law degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Roberts Wesleyan College. 

In addition to her work with the MBAWNY, Sanchez-Orona is also a board member of the American Red Cross of Western New York.
