June 2025 Member Spotlight:
Milton Gordon
This month we’re proud to spotlight Minority Bar Association of Western New York member Milton Gordon!
Gordon’s journey to the legal profession has been influenced by a diverse range of personal and professional experiences — including his service in the Jamaican military — each of which has strengthened his commitment to justice, discipline, and community in unique ways.
UB Alumnus; Serves as an Assistant District Attorney
Gordon is a proud graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Law, Class of 2015, and has been serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Erie County since 2016. As an Assistant District Attorney at the Erie County District Attorney’s Office, Gordon has worked, and continues to work, alongside many dedicated attorneys and professionals within the legal community. Together, they navigate the complexities of the justice system while striving to ensure fairness, equity, and compassion in every case.
These experiences have reinforced his dedication to the values of integrity, resilience, and advocacy, particularly when serving those who are most vulnerable and exploited.
Elected Director of the Erie County Bar Association
Gordon’s background provides him with a unique perspective on how the law intersects with culture, family, and social systems. He believes the work of attorneys extends beyond the courtroom, recognizing that legal professionals serve as stewards of justice and community trust.
This guiding principle led him to a leadership role as an elected Director of the Bar Association of Erie County, where he is committed to advancing equity, professionalism, and mentorship within the legal field.
Commitment to Faith, Family, Service
Outside the courtroom, Gordon is a devoted husband to Carin Gordon, Esq., and a proud father to Milton Gordon Jr. and Morgan Gordon. He finds joy in faith, family, and service, and strives to be a positive influence in both his professional and personal life.
He is an enthusiastic fan of most sports, especially basketball, football, and soccer, as well as Formula 1 and MotoGP racing. He also enjoys music, dancing, and cooking occasionally.
Gordon is honored to be part of the MBAWNY, a community that continues to inspire and empower others. He is grateful for the opportunity to serve as this segment’s featured attorney.
